The philosophy behind the MaxFun 35 is to create a very fast [displacement is just 3,000 kg] and easily driven yacht – at an extremely affordable price.

In an attempt not to create another racing boat designed to any specific rating rule, we have opted for a sportsboat in the true sense of the word. MaxFun25
The challenge when we developed the MaxFun25 was, that over one winter we needed to design and build an affordable, modern, newly-designed class of boat – and not only not one, but at least ten!

The brief was that it should give spectacular performance, be economical to build, easily trailered and have the unique kick of a high tech racing yacht. The first MaxFun25 was released from the mould in January 2000, and in just 18 months we have built a new Dutch one design fleet.

The MaxFun25 returns to the principle of racing: winning is winning. Whilst handicap ratings make for interesting discussions at the bar, we have designed this boat for performance – and make no excuses for it. Maarten Voogd Simonis Voogd Yacht Design
